Glendale Latino Association provides annual scholarships to local high schools and Glendale Community College graduating students who have demonstrated educational excellence and extraordinary citizenship. The organization brings together business and professionals to promote activities that improve education system.
Fundraisers are held throughout the year to raise funds for the scholarships. The board reflects the diverse business community enjoyed by Glendale and the surrounding areas, and includes Miryam Finkelberg with the Law Offices of Finkelberg & Finkelberg, Monica Molina with the Law Offices of Monica Molina, Amy Navarrete of Americas United Bank, Darlene M. Sanchez of Glendale Economic Development Corporation, Mercy Velazquez of Sadd-Velazquez-Higashi-Shammaa, CPAs & Advisors, Albert Hernandez with Family Promise of the Verdugos, Daniel Cabrera a retired Educator, Victor Garcia, Jr. a GLA Scholarship Recipient, Irma Villegas with Coldwell Banker Hallmark Realty . The organization was founded in 1990 and since then has worked to both improve and to make a difference in the community.

The scholarship application deadline for 2018 is:
- March 2, 2018
- Letters of Recommendation, Personal Essays, Official Academic Transcripts & FAFSA Student Aid Reports (SAR) must all be submitted by the deadline
